The semi-final match-ups of WESG Europe & CIS Regional Finals are set at the end of day three in Kiev, and all eight spots at the Global Finals determined.
After the first two relegation matches ended with GODSENT and iGame.com grabbing wins and spots at the Global Finals, it was time for the first two quarter-finals matches.
Dignitas secured one of the semi-finals spots with a comfortable series over the Swedes, while Kinguin had to fight tooth and nail with iGame.com for the other in the upper half of the bracket.
Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans's dd put on a show against Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko's Ukraine but ended up falling short after three close maps, Cobblestone, Overpass and Nuke. At the same time, Virtus.pro played their relegation match with Epsilon, who also gave their opponents a run for their money but lost both Mirage and Train following close scorelines.
Ukraine secured a place at the Global Finals
At the end of the day .Russia grabbed the third semi-finals spot with a comfortable victory over the other CIS mix-team Ukraine. Virtus.pro and Envy played a nail-biting series, as the latter picked up Cobblestone while the former survived a comeback attempt on Nuke. It came down to Mirage, where the Poles came out on top for the last spot in the semi-finals.
All Europe & CIS spots at WESG Global Finals have been determined already with relegation matches coming to a close. The team list of the $1.5 million event currently looks as follows:
